Overseas KALIBARI
Significant Kali Bari (Kali temples) outside India exist primarily in neighboring countries with shared cultural heritage, most notably the historical Ramna Kali Mandir in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and various Shakti Peethas. Several temples in Bangladesh, Nepal, and beyond continue to serve the Bengali diaspora and Hindu devotees.
- Ramna Kali Mandir (Dhaka, Bangladesh): A historic temple with roots in the Mughal era, widely known as a significant center for Kali worship, though destroyed in 1971 and later rebuilt.
- Maha Kali Amman Temple (Mutwal, Sri Lanka): A prominent shrine dedicated to Kali in Sri Lanka.
- Nepal Temples: Several Kalika temples, such as the Dakshinkali Temple near Kathmandu, are key sites.
- Peshawar Kalibari (Pakistan): Located in Peshawar, it serves the local Hindu community.
These temples are often known for their connections to Bengali traditions, similar to temples in India.
